The Whores of Babble-On

April 17, 2008

Right before your eyes, you get to see the Book of Revelation played-out on the political stage.

And you thought that this would be a boring campaign season....

It wasn’t until the candidate of “change”, Barack Obama, decided to rub elbows with multi-billionaire Gordon Getty and hundreds of other “regular folks” at a $2300 per head fundraiser that I realized we may be in the midst of the Anti-Christ (these billionaire-millionaire fundraisers occur as Michelle Obama reminds people that, “When you’re given the gift of advocacy, you don’t sell it to the highest bidder.”).

You know...this is the “private” fundraiser where Obama disparaged the middle-class to his wealthy patrons...“they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren't like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment....”

Immediately, Madame Hillary morphed into a Bible thumping, gun toting, beer swilling and highly offended champion of the working class.  About Obama’s comments, Hillary remarked that he, “goes to a closed-door fundraiser in San Francisco and makes comments that do seem elitist, out of touch and, frankly, patronizing”.

She forgot to mention that her sudden love of God, guns and beer were, in themselves, “elitist, out of touch and, frankly, patronizing”.

A very solid Conservative remarked to me, “These people are despicable.   No, they're worse than despicable.  They are corrupt and they are like vampires who suck the soul and life out of you.   They are relentless in their pandering and insulting in their "view" of us as all being so stupid that we can easily be bamboozled.”

And speaking of bamboozled...the prophecy of the Anti-Christ includes two main characters: the Beast and Babylon the Great (aka the “mother of whores”).

The Beast is actually two creatures in one, “the First Beast arises out of the sea, having seven heads and 10 horns. The Second Beast arises out of the earth, having the appearance of a lamb while speaking like a dragon.”

The Second Beast, as a very charismatic false prophet, compels the world to do the bidding of the First Beast.

The Sermon on the Mount forewarns you to, “Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves.”

So don’t say that you haven’t been forewarned about Barack Obama.

Here is a candidate who openly wrote about an effective tactic to deal with White people in his autobiography: “It was usually an effective tactic, another one of those tricks I had learned: People were satisfied so long as you were courteous and smiled and made no sudden moves. They were more than satisfied; they were relieved - such a pleasant surprise to find a well-mannered young black man who didn't seem angry all the time.”

If that doesn’t describe the false prophet than nothing ever will.

When Obama’s pastor, Rev. Jeremiah Wright, preached that America was responsible for the attacks on 9-11 and that White America invented AIDS to kill Black people, Obama at first feigned ignorance and then justification...“Obama tried to justify Wright's deranged rants by explaining that ‘legalized discrimination’ is the ‘reality in which Rev. Wright and other African-Americans of his generation grew up’."

Condemn and then cajole.

After painting working-class America as bitter extremists (to his San Francisco billionaire buddies), Obama explained that, “What I was saying is that when economic hardship hits in these communities, what people have is they've got family, they've got their faith, they've got the traditions that have been passed onto them from generation to generation.”

Hey Barack, that is not what you said.  For the record, “they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren't like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment....”

Condemn and cajole.

On a favorable note, at least Obama casts his legislative votes consistent with the position he has taken on the issues.

Obama says: he is in favor of partial birth abortions; against parental notification about their children who get out-of-state abortions; in favor of government funded contraception; in favor of limiting handgun purchases to one gun per month per owner; in favor of banning “assault weapons” and allowing manufacturers, distributors, dealers, or importers of firearms or ammunition to be sued for the misuse of their products.

He has voted consistent with his positions on these issues.

And this is consistent with his style.  Condemn from the mouth of the First Beast and then cajole with the charm of the false prophet.

Which, by the way, is a radically different style from that of Madame Hillary.

Hillary, like the mother of whores, will be what you want her to be, what she thinks you want her to be and, especially, what you pay her to be.

But, in the end, she is...Hillary.

When Obama opened the populist door for Hillary with his Getty-party-gaff, she remarked that, “...I think his comments were elitist and divisive and the Democratic party has been unfortunately viewed by many people over the last decade as being elitist and out of touch."

The operative word here is “viewed”.

As opposed to “is elitist and out of touch”, Hillary can only see the world in terms of being “viewed”.  This means that you don’t have to really change anything of substance...you just have to be “viewed” differently...and then do whatever you wish.

So, she downs a shot of Crown Royal with a couple of cold ones and she becomes a “regular folk”...at least in her mind.

But what she says and what she does, as we all know from her heroics in Bosnia, are two “vastly” different things.

In 2000, Hillary said “I can support a ban on late-term abortions, including partial-birth abortions, so long as the health and life of the mother is protected.”  In 2003, Hillary voted against a ban on partial birth abortion that included a stipulation protecting the life of the mother.

In 1997 she said, “I believe in parental notification.”  In 2006, she voted against parental notification.

Just this past weekend, Hillary reminded her “regular folk” that, “my dad took me out behind the cottage that my grandfather built on a little lake called Lake Winola outside of Scranton and taught be how to shoot when I was a little girl... It's part of culture. It's part of a way of life....”

But all of her votes in the Senate have been against that way of life.  She voted against protecting manufacturers from harassing lawsuits.  In 2000, she supported legislation that would have required “every new handgun sale or transfer...be registered in a national registry”.

Bait and switch...that is the Hillary way.

It’s interesting to note that neither of these candidates can fathom, let alone acknowledge, that Middle America is cynical and bitter because liberals like Obama and Clinton keep attacking their values, their religion, their guns, their jobs and their wallets.

Liberals want to destroy the American soul one value at a time.

Tell me honestly that, if in your youth, you could ever picture a day when same-sex marriage would even be conceivable, let alone a righteous cause célèbre?  Or a governor engaging in threesomes with his male driver and wife?  Or a President using a young intern as a “living” humidor in the Oval Office?

The liberals just don’t get the fact that they can’t keep feeding their elitist and demented agendas to the ‘regular folk” by means of obfuscation, cunning or outright lying and expect those “regular folk” to just swallow it hook, line and sinker.

The only reason that Obama and Clinton have to keep digging themselves out of political holes is that they always begin with a deception.  They are not who they depict themselves to be and neither are their platforms.  And, because they both promise the impossibility of “all things to all people”, continually patronizing and conning those whom they seek to deceive becomes a necessity.

So they just babble-on and America rolls its eyes.

It is little wonder that, “When Babylon is destroyed, neither God, Christ, the saints, the apostles, nor the prophets mourn.”
